172 Days to Go

This has been the first full week of school.  I’ve been getting there early and staying late.  Tuesday night was Parent Orientation.  I got home at 8:30.  There are so many procedures to teach, routines to establish, files to organize, lists to go over, and record sheets to set-up.  You’re dragging a whole class of 6th graders through all the training too.  We’ve had fire drills, art, birthday treats, kindergarten buddies, placement tests, computer time and Friday quizzes.  I don’t think any of us were prepared for how long the week was.  We need to build up our stamina.
