What a Day!
Wouldn't you know it? I finally start a blog to keep a record of something, and today was just terrible. It was cold and windy. I was running late and didn't pray, and couldn't finish my workout. I had a student who was mean and surly - giving me attitude all day - sucking up my time and energy. And now I have a lesson plan to write for my principal, and papers to correct, and we're out of milk. It's just not a good way to start journaling. I was hoping for something more inspirational, educational, philosophical, or humorous. At the very least, I'd like it to start on a positive note.

It's About Time
I've been thinking of doing this for about three years now. Maybe I'll journal. Maybe I'll just write stuff. Maybe I'll keep track of books I read. It might be for recipes. Or quotes. Or just something I know or wonder about.
Why did I finally start? Yesterday I watched David McCullough as he spoke to the National Geological Society Conference, and today I watched Henry B. Eyring's talk at the same event. The two of them convinced me that I should blog, and what I blog I should print each year, because it's important. I know that's true. We'll see how I do. (And we'll see what I do.)
